The Alleppey Backwater Cruise (1D/1N) by itself was a very good , … .. a wonderful experience!! (This was our second such cruise, the first one being 7 years ago.) The food served was also very tasty authentic Kerala cuisine.
But the HouseBoat that was provided was very pathetic. We had booked through MYHOUSEBOATS.COM and paid 9K for a 2 bedroom deluxe. The HB was operated by MINDCRUISER (Boat No.2). When we checked-in the HB seemed okay. But after the cruise began, many problems surfaced.

3. Boat break down mid waters, another boat was brought , which stopped after 50 meters due to no diesel, and then transferred to a country boat. Very risky indeed.

Over all the Experience with House boat arranged was good. House boat was ready for us by the time we reached. It was clean and maintained well. The Crew was friendly in nature and their behavior was good.
Few things can be improved.Crew can be more professional right from cleaning the things.Sight seeing was the major draw back as no major places were covered.Water quality in the boat can be improved.

Food was superb and the staff was awesome.Boat is very good but still they can improve by providing balcony. Rooms are not spacious. Water used in the toilets is from the sea.They need to use a fresh borewell water for toilet use. It was very difficult for us to take shower.
Use borewell water for bathroom usage. Rooms should be still more spacious.
